What a website care plan covers
Your care plan keeps the site you have running safely and reliably. Each maintenance cycle we:
- Take a full backup before any changes are made.
- Update WordPress core, your theme, and plugins one at a time, checking as we go.
- Optimise the database and clear out clutter.
- Run a settings and site health check.
- Visually check the live site and test that your enquiry forms are still delivering.
- Take a second backup once everything is verified.
- Log exactly what was done and when.
E-commerce sites are checked more often than standard sites because there is more moving underneath them.
What is quoted separately
New work is anything that changes or adds to the site rather than maintaining it:
- New pages, new sections, or a redesign of existing pages.
- New functionality, plugins, or integrations.
- Content writing, photography, or video.
- SEO campaigns, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and social media management.
- Large content updates, such as loading a new product range.
Small tweaks such as swapping a phone number, updating opening hours, or replacing an image are usually quick. Send them through to [email protected], and we will tell you before we start if something is going to be billable.
Why we never skip the backup
Updates occasionally break things. A verified backup taken minutes before the update means a bad plugin release is a five-minute rollback rather than a lost day.
