Step by step instructions to access your website statistics

1. Create an account

If you haven’t yet registered an account with Google, you’ll need to do that first. This means that you can sign into various Google services using your preferred email address. You do NOT need a Gmail account.

Go to https://accounts.google.com. If you see a sign-in page, try signing in using your normal email address first. If that doesn’t work, continue with the steps below.
Inside that sign-in box, click on the “More options” dropdown, then choose “Create account”.
Complete your account details, ensuring you click on “I prefer to use my current address” on the “Email” field. However, if you prefer, you can sign up for a new @gmail.com address to use with your account.

2. Let us know about it

Now that you have a Google account set up, we can provide you with access to your Google Analytics account.

We set up Google Analytics accounts with most of our website packages, or another party may have set up the account for you. We just need to know your preferred email address to get this set up for you, so just email that to us and we’ll let you know once it’s done.

3. View statistics

You can see your website statistics a couple of ways, depending on your website package.

Log into your website then go to Insights > Dashboard, in the left menu. This will give you a brief overview of your website traffic.
OR
Log into Google Analytics. This will give you a robust reporting platform to view data on visitors, referring websites, social media, advertising campaigns, devices, and more.
We can offer training sessions on Google Analytics if you need a hand.
